Sustainable Scientific Software Development

"Better software, better research"

Highly recommended reading for researchers working with software:

Blue Brain Project

From November 2013 to December 2017, I was a research scientist at the EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland), working for the Blue Brain Project on mesoscale brain synthesis. The Blue Brain Project takes part in the Human Brain Project.

CERN

From November 2010 to October 2013, I worked as a senior CERN fellow on the electromagnets for the new linear accelerator Linac4. In addition, I supported work for the PS Booster Upgrade, the ELENA project and MedAustron.

Katholieke Universiteit Leuven

Until October 2010, I worked at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Leuven, Belgium), where I defended my PhD thesis on the numerical modeling and simulation of grain growth.
